Greetings,
I
hope that you and your families have had a wonderful summer!
It
is my honor to serve as the 2010 - 2011 President for the New York State
Association of Power Engineers.
We
are in the middle of hard times. These are the times we need each other
more than ever. Education and networking are the answer.
People
are looking for work, or looking to keep their jobs. We must play a
larger roll in helping out our NAPE brothers and sisters.
Through
education and networking in the chapter level, or online classes at our
national level, we must keep our work force skilled at the current level
and for future generations.
This
should have another benefit as well by attracting new members, at the
same time keeping membership current.
To
quote Past President George Stirbei:
The scope of work is enormous, but the
goal can only be achieved with the will and conscious efforts on the
part of leadership. I am aware of the difficulty of living up the
standards set by the past Presidents, but I will do my best to try to
promote the interests of NAPE.
I
am looking forward to serving as president for the year 2010-2011 and
hope that I can live up to the expectations of everyone in the
organization.
Respectfully
Yours,
RPA,
FMA, SMA
NAPE
–
New York
State
Association President
